My Name is Hector Cruz III. I was born and raised in Los Angeles County. I attend Pasadena City College and currently majoring in Administration of Justice. I have been attending Pasadena City College since the fall of 2015. Before PCC, I attended El Rancho High school in Pico Rivera, California. I am graduating this semester if all goes well and attending a University to further my education. At a University, I plan on receiving a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. After receiving my Bachelor's I hope to become some type of agent such as FBI or CIA agent. I decided on this career path because I have been into law enforcement since high school, and because I want a career that will keep me entertained and busy throughout my entire career.
Class Reflection
This class has been a bit of a challenge for me this semester. Although it was a challenge, the class taught me many different things. What I learned in this class applies to other aspects in my life. I say this because what I learned in this class is how our government works. I learned how a bill becomes a law, about ad campaigns, supreme court and more. This applies to other aspects in my life because it is important for me to know how the government works in the country I live in. This class also applies to other aspects in my life because it has also taught me some academic skills. Some of the academic skills the class has taught me is how to research properly, how to be a little more organized and time managed and most importantly, how to navigate online. These skills have helped me not only in school but also outside of school. In life, research is needed for almost everything, a lot of researching in the class has taught me to find many different facts and evidence for specific topics. Along with researching, the class also helped be a little more organized and a little better with time management. Organization and time management has always been a problem for me because I just simply don't organize my work and set time management for myself when it comes to my work. With this class being strict on assignment due dates and having new work every week, I was able to be a little more time managed and organized making it easier for me to know what assignments I need to complete, when to turn in assignments, and how to set my time for how long I have to work on assignments. The class also taught me how to navigate better online. I have always been bad when it comes to computers, this class helped me get better at that. The class helped me get better at using online sources, typing and even using canvas. Overall, this class was helpful for me not only because of what I learned from the material in the class, but also what I learned while taking the class. These skills that the class has taught me can now help me in my education, work and throughout the rest of life.
